A gathering for enthusiasts
The Brescoudos Bike Week is one of the major motorcycle gatherings in southern France. Every year at the end of August, over 1,500 motorcycles converge on Cap d'Agde for a week of festivities on the Mediterranean shore.
Born in the late 1980s as a small Harley-Davidson gathering in Cap d'Agde, it has grown year after year. The name honours Fort Brescou, the only volcanic island on the Hérault coast, visible from Cap d'Agde.
The general public is welcome to admire the customised bikes — parades, custom show, concerts and a warm atmosphere are open to all. Only registration for the convoy rides (8-day formula) is reserved for participating riders.

Why is it called Brescoudos?
The name honours Fort Brescou, the only volcanic island on the Hérault coast, visible from Cap d'Agde. It's the same dark volcanic rock that gives the town of Agde its nickname, the Black Pearl of the Mediterranean.
