The Cap d'Agde Naturist Village is Europe's largest naturist resort, with more than 40,000 residents during peak summer season. It is a city within a city, with its own shops, restaurants, sports facilities and direct access to the Mediterranean.
A unique naturist destination in Europe
Founded in 1956 by brothers René and Paul Oltra as France's first naturist campsite, the naturist village spans several dozen hectares along the seafront. The CHM René Oltra celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2026. It has its own marina, numerous shops, hotels and holiday residences accessible to naturists. It is recognised by the French Naturism Federation (FFN) for its family-oriented and sporty approach to naturism.
Activities and sports
Sport is at the heart of the naturist village: tennis, beach volleyball, pétanque, hiking, cycling, sailing and water sports. Families enjoy this environment that encourages relaxation and reconnection with nature.
The naturist beach
The naturist village beach borders the Mediterranean directly. Supervised in season by lifeguard posts, it offers a safe setting for the whole family. Water quality is regularly monitored by health authorities.
