Iconic Quarter — Cap d'Agde
Cap d'Agde's new town centre: a modern neighbourhood with a congress centre, casino, shopping centre, restaurants and a pedestrian promenade — designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte and opened between 2019 and 2022.
A new Mediterranean neighbourhood
The Iconic Quarter was developed from 2017 on a vacant site in the heart of the Cap d'Agde resort. The project was developed by Kaufman & Broad and designed by the renowned French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Four striking circular towers in white and natural stone form the architectural centrepiece — framed by the pedestrian promenade Rambla du Soleil.
Across around 6 hectares, the Iconic Quarter combines residential apartments, holiday flats, hotels, restaurants, boutiques, a congress centre with 1,145 seats and the Casino Barrière Cap d'Agde. The new tourist office and a branch of Cap d'Agde town hall have also been based here since 2024.
